Our Classes

We are excited to announce we now offer Hot Yoga at our studio!

Practicing yoga in a heated room offers several benefits. The heat increases flexibility by warming up muscles and allowing for deeper stretches. It also promotes sweating, which helps rid the body of toxins and impurities. Additionally, the increased heart rate and calorie burn from exercising in a heated environment can contribute to weight loss and cardiovascular health.

However, hot yoga may not be suitable for everyone. The intense heat can be challenging for people with certain medical conditions, such as heart problems or high blood pressure, and it's essential to stay hydrated and listen to your body's limits during practice. It's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new exercise regimen, especially one as demanding as hot yoga.

Power Yoga

Power Yoga is a fitness-based approach to Vinyasa style yoga with roots in Ashtanga. The emphasis is on dynamic flow from one pose to the next, linking your breath to movement. Though it requires mindfulness and focus, power yoga is more dynamic than meditative.

Hatha Yoga

The word ‘Hatha’ is usually translated from Sanskrit as ‘sun and moon’ with ‘ha’ signifying sun energy ‘tha’ signifying moon energy. The ultimate aim of Hatha yoga is to balance these energies through yoga asana, pranayama, relaxation, and meditation. This an excellent class to learn the foundations of yoga in a safe supportive environment. Postures are held for an extended period to ensure proper alignment and build strength and flexibility. All levels welcome!

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a flow-style class linking postures together so that you move from one to another seamlessly using the breath. We offer an upbeat alignment based style of Vinyasa Yoga. If you want to focus on your form and flow from pose to pose, this class is for you!

Kundalini Yoga

You can consider Kundalini Yoga a moving meditation. Class begins and ends with a mantra to tune in and out from the practice. Each class will include a set of exercises with a specific goal or purpose. Most movements are rhythmic and paired with the breath. The practice concludes with guided meditation and relaxation. Kundalini Yoga is beneficial for all levels of experience. Modifications are available and many of the exercises can be done seated.

Gentle Yoga

Slow down and check in with a meditative slow flow we call Gentle Yoga. Gentle Yoga is a sequence of postures to encourage the body and mind to relax and provides a safe space for quiet introspection. In this class we primarily take soft and easy shapes, with a focus on meditation and breathwork.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a meditative style yoga that targets the deep connective tissues of the body. The poses are supported with props to help you fully relax and are held for 3 to 5 minutes. This applies pressure to the targeted area and stimulates different meridians in the body. Yin Yoga teaches the body to slow down, relax, and turn inward, which helps alleviate stress and restore energy levels. It can leave you feeling as if you have had a massage.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra also known as “yogic sleep” is a deep meditation that uses a variety of techniques (pranayama, body scanning, guided imagery, etc) to aid in relaxation and offers emotional balance and healing in the body and mind. Practitioners can expect to leave the practice feeling rested and rejuvenated.
